Cookie & Storage Notice

Last updated: 28 October 2026 | Applies to: the website, the waitlist, the Testnet apps and our docs

The short version

  • We ask before we use any cookie or similar storage that isn't strictly necessary. Everyone sees the same choice, wherever they are.
  • Our banner has three equal buttons: Accept all, Reject all and Choose. Nothing is pre-ticked, and we load nothing optional until you choose.
  • Strictly necessary storage is always on. It signs you in, keeps sign-in secure, connects your wallet and remembers your choice.
  • The optional categories are Preferences, Analytics, and Third-party embeds and telemetry, such as TradingView charts. We don't use any analytics today.
  • You can change your choice at any time in Cookie settings. We treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as "Reject all".
  • We keep a record of your choice and ask again after 12 months, or sooner if we change a category.
  • We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking.

1. What this notice covers

This notice explains the cookies and similar technologies that Vanna ("we", "us") uses across the Interface:

  • vanna.finance, including the waitlist at vanna.finance/waitlist;
  • the Testnet web apps;
  • our documentation at docs.vanna.finance.

"Similar technologies" means browser local storage, session storage and IndexedDB, and code that reads information from your device or makes it send information. The law treats them like cookies, so this notice covers them all.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data, including the technical logs (such as your IP address) that our hosting and sign-in providers keep.

2. Your choice: the cookie banner

What you see. On your first visit, a short banner appears at the bottom of the screen. It explains what we'd like to store and links to this notice. Its three buttons, Accept all, Reject all and Choose, have the same size and style. You can keep using the page while the banner is open. Until you choose, we use only strictly necessary storage.

Choose. This opens a panel with a switch for each category in section 3. Strictly necessary is always on. Every other switch starts off. Under Third-party embeds and telemetry, each provider has its own switch. "Save choices" applies what you picked.

Where. The same banner appears on vanna.finance (including the waitlist), on the Testnet web apps and on our docs.

Changing your mind. Use Cookie settings, in the footer of our sites or in the settings menu of our apps. Turning something off is as easy as turning it on. When you turn off a category or a provider, we stop loading it and delete what it stored on our sites. Items that a provider keeps under its own web address, such as TradingView's chart settings, stay until you clear them (section 7).

Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends this signal, we treat it as Reject all and don't show the banner. Cookie settings shows that the signal is on. If you turn something on there yourself, we follow that choice.

How long a choice lasts. We remember your choice, accept or reject, for 12 months. Then we ask again. We also ask again sooner if we add a provider or change what a category covers.

Our record of your choice. Each time you choose, we record what you chose, the version of this notice (its "Last updated" date), the date and time, and a random consent ID. The record is kept on your device (vanna_consent, section 4) and in our consent log, so that we can show what you agreed to. It doesn't include your name or email. We keep log entries until 12 months after your choice expires or you change it.

3. The categories

Category What it does Your choice
Strictly necessary Signs you in and keeps sign-in secure, connects your wallet, shows your own signed-in page, keeps track of where you are in a feature, and remembers your cookie choice Always on
Preferences Remembers your light or dark theme, and messages you've already seen, between visits Off until you turn it on
Analytics Would measure how people use our sites. We don't use any analytics today. If we add a tool, it will start off and we'll ask you again Nothing to turn on today
Third-party embeds and telemetry Loads content from other providers, such as price charts, and lets some providers' software send them usage data Off until you turn it on, provider by provider

Why strictly necessary storage is always on. EU law (Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive, as each EU country has adopted it) and UK law (regulation 6 of the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003) require consent before a site or app stores or reads information on your device. The main exception is storage that is strictly necessary to provide a service you have asked for. "Strictly necessary" is judged from your side: the item must be needed for what you asked to do, not just useful to us. We put an item in this category only if it meets that test.

If you leave Preferences off, the theme switch and messages still work, but we keep those items only until you close the tab.

If you leave a provider off, we don't load it. Where it would show content, such as a chart, you'll see a short note and a button to load it. Tapping the button turns that provider on, and you can turn it off again in Cookie settings.

4. What we store

In the tables, <id> stands for our project ID with our sign-in provider, Dynamic. "Until you clear it" means the item stays until you clear it yourself (section 7) or we remove it in an update. Some browsers, such as Safari, delete stored items sooner if you don't visit for a while.

Apart from your cookie choice, our main pages store nothing on your device. Our fonts load from our own domain, not from Google.

The Testnet web apps

The Testnet web apps sign you in through Dynamic, as the waitlist does. Dynamic's items there have names starting with dynamic_ and work like the waitlist items above: they keep you signed in, protect the sign-in steps and remember your wallet. They are strictly necessary.

5. What we don't do

  • No advertising or retargeting.
  • No cross-site tracking.
  • No fingerprinting to identify or follow you.
  • No analytics or session-recording tools of our own.
  • No tracking pixels or tracked links in the emails we send.

6. Information sent from your device

Some information leaves your device whatever you choose. Like any website, the Interface sends your IP address and browser details to the servers it needs: our hosting, our sign-in and wallet-connection providers, blockchain nodes and price-data services. Our Privacy Policy explains how we and our providers use these logs.

7. How to clear or block storage

  • Cookie settings: turn optional categories or providers off at any time.
  • Log out of the waitlist. This removes the copy of your page and ends your sign-in session.
  • Chrome or Edge: click the icon to the left of the web address, open the site settings or "Cookies and site data", then delete the data. In most browsers, clearing vanna.finance also clears our subdomains.
  • Safari on Mac: Settings > Privacy > Manage Website Data, search "vanna", then Remove.
  • Safari on iPhone: Settings > Apps > Safari > Advanced > Website Data. On older iOS, this is under Settings > Safari.
  • Firefox: click the padlock, then "Clear cookies and site data".
  • Private windows: storage is deleted when you close the window.

Clearing vanna.finance doesn't clear what providers keep under their own web addresses, such as tradingview-widget.com. Clear those too, or clear all cookies and site data.

You can also block cookies and site storage in your browser settings. If you block strictly necessary items, sign-in and wallet connection won't work.

8. Wallet extensions and third-party sites

Wallet extensions and apps. Phantom, Solflare, Backpack, Freighter, LOBSTR and other wallets are Third-Party Services. They keep their own data on your device under their own terms, such as your keys and the sites you've connected. We can't read it. A wallet shares with us only what you approve in its own window, such as your public address and what you sign. To disconnect fully, also remove Vanna in the wallet's "connected sites" setting.

Embedded wallets. If you use an embedded wallet from Dynamic, our sign-in provider, its documentation and privacy notice explain what its wallet software keeps on your device. We don't hold your private keys.

Content from other providers. Sign-in windows and, if you turn them on, price charts from Third-Party Services load inside the Interface. When they do, that provider receives your IP address and browser details and may store its own items, as listed in section 4. The provider's own policies apply to what it collects.

Links to other sites. Links and share buttons can take you to X, Telegram, WhatsApp, block explorers, bridges and venues such as Kamino, Jupiter, Phoenix, Blend, Soroswap and Aquarius. There, that site's own cookie and privacy rules apply. Connecting your X account takes you to x.com. Once it's connected, your X profile photo loads from X's servers.

9. Changes to this notice

We update this notice when we add, remove or change anything we store, and we change the "Last updated" date. If a change adds a provider or changes what an optional category covers, we ask for your choice again before it applies.
